Nimrod Geva

Attorney and Researcher in Environmental Regulation and Climate Policy

Adv. Nimrod Geva holds an LL.B from Bar-Ilan University, has been a licensed attorney since 2019, and specializes in environmental regulation. He is currently pursuing an MA in the Environmental Regulation and Policy program at Bar-Ilan University and is a researcher at the Center. In addition to his research work, Adv. Geva serves as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the academic journal "Law and Environment" and as Director of the Center for Environmental and Sustainability Research at the Open University of Israel.

The transition to a low-carbon economy is expected to drive a dramatic increase in battery use. However, battery regulation presents a distinctive challenge for environmental law due to global value chains, scientific and technological uncertainty, and overlapping regulatory regimes. This research examines the regulatory challenges posed by transboundary environmental risks in emerging technologies, using battery regulation as its principal case study and green hydrogen to explore experimental regulation.

Analysis of Digital Motivations to Reduce Electricity Consumption in Urban Households in Israel

+

This research examines how digital behavioral interventions based on consumer feedback and gamification can encourage electricity conservation among urban households in Israel. The study will employ a field experiment comparing the effectiveness of digital feedback alone with a combined feedback and gamification intervention on actual household electricity consumption.
