A New Academic Forum for Law, Environment, and Climate
"Law and Environment" is a new academic journal in Israel dealing with environmental law, environmental policy, and climate policy, operating within the Center for Environmental and Climate Law at the Bar-Ilan University Faculty of Law.
The journal is published under the auspices of the Meitar law firm, and serves as a central research forum for advancing academic, professional, and public discourse on environmental and climate issues in Israel.
The journal publishes original research articles, alongside case-law analyses, policy articles, legal commentary, and multidisciplinary writing in the fields of environmental law, climate law, environmental and climate regulation, environmental economics, the circular economy, environmental public policy, energy, planning and construction, environmental justice, and related fields.
The journal's purpose is to promote high-quality, innovative research addressing the intersection of law, regulation, policy, and environmental and climate economics, with special emphasis on the Israeli context alongside a comparative and international perspective. In doing so, the journal serves as a unique knowledge hub for researchers, legal professionals, policymakers, and practitioners seeking to shape the future of environmental governance in Israel.
The journal constitutes a central pillar of the Center for Environmental and Climate Law's activity in promoting outstanding research, developing new knowledge, and influencing the shaping of environmental policy and regulation in Israel and around the world.
