The GIS Environmental-Regulatory Knowledge Base

GIS

Making Regulatory, Legal, and Geographic Information Accessible to the Public

An advanced digital knowledge base built on Geographic Information Systems technology, making regulatory, legal, and geographic information accessible to the public, researchers, and decision makers. Unique in Israel, the database consolidates information on enforcement, licensing, emissions, spatial regulation, renewable energy infrastructure, and many other data layers, enabling researchers, journalists, civil society organizations, and decision makers to conduct reliable empirical analyses.

The database is developed in collaboration between the Center for Environmental and Climate Law and Dr. Eli Yitzhak of the Department of Geography at Bar-Ilan University, and is managed by him.

  • The database is under development; details coming soon.
