One of Israel's leading scholars of environmental law. He heads the Multidisciplinary School of Sustainability and the Environment and is a professor at the Bar-Ilan University Faculty of Law. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Law from 2017 to 2022 and holds a doctorate from the London School of Economics. He has published more than 70 articles and two books, and leads empirical research supported by the Israel Science Foundation and the Ministry of Environmental Protection. He is a recipient of the Cheshin Prize for Academic Excellence.

He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Center's journal, "Law and Environment." He brings extensive professional experience from leading organizations in environmental law, including Earthjustice, the Southern Environmental Law Center, and the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions. He is the former CEO of the Israel Society of Ecology and Environmental Sciences.

Brings hands-on experience advancing the environmental and climate agenda, with expertise in business development and innovation in climate tech and sustainability. As head of the ClimaTech department at the Israel Export Institute, she led initiatives to integrate environmental technologies into global markets and fostered collaborations among startups, corporations, and governments. Previously, she managed the green building sector and led large-scale sustainable construction and energy-efficiency projects. She holds an MA with honors in Environmental Studies from Tel Aviv University.

A graduate of the Bar-Ilan University Faculty of Law, summa cum laude. She has seven years of experience in civil and administrative litigation, including environmental cases. Adv. Hecht also has experience in policy work with the Knesset's Interior and Environment Committee and State Control Committee.
