This article discusses a project documenting the life stories of elderly French-speaking individuals residing in retirement homes and local communities. The authors highlight the cultural and linguistic value of this initiative and describe the process of collecting and preserving these narratives. They address the ethical and practical challenges of such research and its contribution to the preservation of the community’s linguistic and social heritage.
