Israel is significantly behind in developing and implementing national and local climate policy, and operates without a binding legislative framework that defines targets, implementation mechanisms, and monitoring tools for emissions reduction and climate adaptation.
The Center develops and implements innovative policy tools for mitigation and adaptation at both the national and local levels, focusing on concrete challenges such as promoting sustainable transportation, urban planning in an era of accelerated warming, and developing models for climate legislation in Israel.
