Contemporary research in the field of trauma and loss has shifted from an exclusive focus on pathology toward a broad understanding of resilience, adaptation, and psychological growth. Research findings indicate that while exposure to trauma and loss creates significant vulnerability, it can also lead to "Post-Traumatic Growth" (PTG)—a process in which new insights, mental resilience, and a deeper perspective on life emerge from the crisis, provided there is adequate emotional processing within a supportive environment.

Our clinic conducts diverse studies on the processes of trauma, grief, and loss. These are closely integrated with clinical practice, which has intensified and deepened following the events of October 7th. Recently, a unique collaboration was launched between the clinic's research and the new Center for Multidisciplinary Trauma Research in the shadow of the war, led by Prof. Danny Horesh. Leading the field alongside him are Dr. Gali Hellinger, Dr. Tamar Silberg, Prof. Ilanit Hasson-Ohayon, Prof. Rivka Tuval-Mashiach, Prof. Yogev Kivity, and formerly Prof. (Emeritus) Tuvia Peri.
