Our lab focuses on educational leaders and teachers' retention, particularly the retention of teachers and early-career educators. The research examines the organizational, psychological, and ethical factors that influence teachers’ decisions to remain in or leave the profession. Special attention is given to the role of school leadership, ethical organizational climate, professional identity, and teachers’ psychological empowerment in shaping retention.
The lab also investigates how supportive school cultures, mentoring processes, and authentic leadership can strengthen teachers’ professional commitment and reduce turnover intentions. By identifying the mechanisms that promote long-term engagement and career sustainability, the research contributes to the development of policies and practices aimed at maintaining a stable and committed teaching workforce.
