The study arises from the recognition that research on minors who have committed sexual offenses and on their risk of persisting in sexual offending into adulthood are limited. The aim of the study is to enable early identification, at the point of entry into treatment, of adolescents who are at elevated risk for sexual recidivism, and to provide them with an appropriate treatment framework tailored to their assessed level of risk
