The lab places strong emphasis on the cultural context of criminological processes, with a particular focus on immigrant and minority populations. Research in this area investigates how cultural values, social norms, and acculturation processes intersect with experiences of (di-) stress, adaptation, and risk behavior. By examining groups such as Arab youth, Ethiopian Israelis, and other immigrant populations, this work challenges universalist models of criminology and advances more culturally informed intersectional approaches to theory, policy, and intervention.
