dentity Formation Processes Among Adolescents in Secure Residential Facilities
This study seeks to examine the experience of adolescence and the process of identity formation among youth placed in secure residential facilities, drawing on two complementary perspectives: the adolescents currently residing in the facility and the teachers who work with them in the on-site schools. Exploring these experiences offers an opportunity to deepen our understanding of self-definition and identity development among adolescents facing severe risk conditions and delinquent behaviors who receive compulsory treatment in secure settings.
