Welcome to the Psychotechnology Research Lab

The Psychotechnology Lab explores social media and the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence through social, behavioral, personality, and emotional perspectives. Our research examines the mental well-being of both younger and older social media users, as well as the impact of AI on perceptions, emotions, attitudes, trust, and self-efficacy.

The lab also investigates virtual communities, including WhatsApp and Facebook groups, digital leadership, and emerging psychological phenomena such as Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) and Joy of Missing Out (JoMO).

Outstanding Lecturer Award

Each year, 15 faculty members are selected as Outstanding Lecturers from among approximately 2,800 faculty members at Bar-Ilan University. In the 2025–2026 academic year, Dr. Gazit was selected as one of them.

Michal Isser received the Rector's Award for Excellence

Each year, approximately 100 students out of Bar-Ilan University's 22,000 students receive the Rector's Award for Excellence.
