Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks was a figure of international renown. The Jonathan Sacks Institute at Bar-Ilan University is dedicated to ensuring that his ideas and approach are studied, disseminated, and influential both in Israel and across the world.

The Institute supports academic activity centered on Rabbi Sacks’s writings and thought, as well as work inspired by his outlook and the issues to which he devoted attention. Particular emphasis is placed on research that engages both the Jewish religious tradition and contemporary social and political ideas and challenges, whether in relation to Israel and the Jewish people or to society at large.
