Hybrid Quantum Atom–Photon Chip Lab website

Dr. Roy Zektzer | Assistant professor

Our lab at Bar-Ilan University’s Faculty of Engineering explores the interaction between atoms and photonic chips, aiming to develop hybrid atomic–photonic systems on a chip for quantum metrology, computation, and communication.
Our research combines expertise in quantum information science, quantum photonics, nanophotonics, nanofabrication, atomic physics, and precision metrology, bridging the worlds of light and matter to enable next-generation quantum technologies.

Fields of Interest

Yossi Salem have joined the team

Yossi Salem is starting his PhD studies in the Faculty of Engineering after completing his M.Sc. in Physics. During his master’s work, he independently built and characterized multiple quantum optics experiments. Yossi’s experience with quantum measurements, interferometry, and hands-on lab construction makes him an exceptional first PhD student and a key contributor to building the foundations of the lab.
