Principal Investigator
Roy Zektzer
Principal investigator
Dr. Roy Zektzer is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at Bar-Ilan University, where he leads the Hybrid Quantum Photonics Chips Lab. His research focuses on the interaction of atoms with nanophotonic structures to develop chip-scale quantum devices such as quantum memories, atomic clocks, and quantum sensors.
Roy completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He later received the Fulbright and Yad Hanadiv Postdoctoral Fellowships to pursue postdoctoral research in JQI.
Ph.D Students
Yossi Salem
Graduate student
Yossi Salem is a PhD student in the Faculty of Engineering, following the completion of his M.Sc. in Physics. During his master’s studies, Yossi played a central role in establishing an advanced undergraduate teaching laboratory in quantum science, independently building and characterizing multiple quantum-optics experiments. His work included the development of a, second-order correlation g2 measurements, and an SU(1,1) interferometer.
