המרכז לפיתוח ותמיכה במעבדות הביולוגיה בבתי הספר, נמצא בבית ספר לחינוך באוניברסיטת בר אילן.

המרכז, שהוא ייחודי וחדשני בארץ ובעולם, מנוהל על ידי צוות אקדמאים מאוניברסיטת
בר אילן, מומחים בתחום הביולוגיה והוראת המדעים. לצידו של צוות ההנהלה פועלות מורות מפתחות, עובדות מעבדה וחברי צוות מנהלי.

בצוות המרכז מפתחים ניסויים חדשים ומיישמים רעיונות חדשים וטכנולוגיות מתקדמות. כל זה על מנת להעשיר באופן קבוע את תכנית הלימודים בביולוגיה בחטיבה העליונה ובחטיבת הביניים.
במרכז מבצעים מחקרים אקדמיים ומפרסמים מאמרים בנושאים כגון שיטות עבודה חדשות, גישות פדגוגיות חדשות ונהלי בטיחות בעבודה עם חומרים.

בהשתלמויות, בפרסומים ובתמיכה יום יומית הצוות מנגיש את כל המידע למורים ולעובדי מעבדה בבתי הספר, והם המדריכים את התלמידים ומסייעים להם בביצוע עבודות חקר במעבדה ובשדה.

במרכז מספקים חומר חי וחומרים המתאימים לביצוע ניסויים בבתי הספר, אליהם מצורפים כללי בטיחות בעבודה עם אותם חומרים. במקרים מיוחדים משאילים גם ציוד הנדרש לביצוע ניסויים.

About the Center

The Center for Development and Support for High School Biology Labs is affiliated with the Pinchas Churgin School of Education at Bar-Ilan University.

This is an innovative, one-of-a-kind center in Israel and across the globe, which incorporates the development of study programs for biology lab instruction and research projects, as well as training, support and supply of materials for lab work.

The center's staff encompasses the academic administration, academic staff of Bar-Ilan University, teachers developing the practical labs, lab technicians and administrative staff.

The center develops new experiments that regularly enrich the curriculum in biology, implementing new ideas and technologies.

The center develops unique continuing education programs for teachers and lab technicians for enrichment and professional development.

The Center regularly supports the teaching staff at schools in all that concerns the practical portion of the biology curriculum: the study of biology in the lab and conducting research projects within the framework of bio-research, at all levels of instruction.

The Center conducts academic research studies and publishes articles on innovations in research methods, safety procedures related to material handling and new pedagogical approaches.

The Center also serves as an equipment supply/lending center for materials, organisms and equipment required for carrying out the experiments.
