The Center for Development and Support for High School Biology Labs

The Center for Development and Support for High School Biology Labs, affiliated with the Faculty of Education at Bar-Ilan University, is an innovative, one-of-a-kind facility in Israel and worldwide. We specialize in developing study programs for biology lab instruction and research projects, as well as training staff and supplying essential lab materials to schools.

To continuously enrich the biology curriculum, the center develops new experiments that implement cutting-edge ideas and technologies. We also create unique continuing education programs that provide professional development and enrichment for both teachers and lab technicians.

Our team regularly supports school teaching staff with the practical components of the biology curriculum, ranging from standard lab instruction to dedicated biological research projects at all educational levels. Additionally, we conduct academic research and publish articles focusing on innovative research methods, material handling safety procedures, and new pedagogical approaches.

Beyond education and research, the center serves as a vital supply and lending hub, providing the equipment, materials, and living organisms required to carry out hands-on experiments. Our diverse staff comprises academic administrators, Bar-Ilan University faculty members, teachers specializing in practical lab development, skilled lab technicians, and a dedicated administrative team.
