Promoting Entrepreneurship Education and Climate Justice Through Team-based Simulations.

Shapira-Lishchinsky, O., 2023

Abstract

In this chapter, I focus on entrepreneurship education and climate justice, and their connection to mentorship of midlevel education leaders. Work on these areas can promote leadership at this level, especially via team-based simulations.

Shaping a mentoring model for educational entrepreneurship to be used with midlevel leaders can help increase their functioning in the significant roles they play in the educational system, both in times of routine and during crises, such as pandemics. Furthermore, providing a mentoring model for these leaders can help them better deal with critical challenges, which, in turn, can increase their resilience.

In this chapter, I present a mentoring model for entrepreneurship education that has the potential to help midlevel leaders deal with critical challenges, especially in times of crisis. I propose using team-based simulations as a platform for the promotion of entrepreneurship education that can help increase the midlevel leaders' resilience. To date, most studies have focused on entrepreneurship education in business schools or with school children, to increase their well-being, improve their learning, and become better citizens (e.g., Liu et al., 2022; Neck & Corbett, 2018). The model that I propose here is unique in that it focuses on entrepreneurial mentoring for midlevel educational leaders. This model aims to empower these leaders, helping them either renew or create their entrepreneurship.
