Psychotechnology & Digital Well-Being

How do digital technologies shape our psychological well-being? Our research examines the relationships between social media use, digital technologies, and mental well-being, including stress, anxiety, trauma, social comparison, and quality of life. This line of research explores the psychological mechanisms underlying Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) and Joy of Missing Out (JoMO), the impact of digital media exposure during times of crisis, and the factors that promote healthier, more balanced, and psychologically beneficial digital lives.
