From media memory to VR empathy: My mission is to turn knowledge into impact. I am a media scholar and entrepreneur passionate about bridging innovation and research. As Founder & CCO of OtheReality, I lead the creation of an empathy management platform that harnesses VR to transform healthcare and improve patient experience, helping medical professionals truly see the world through others’ eyes.
At the same time, I serve as Professor of Communication at Bar-Ilan University, where I am recognized as a world leader in media memory and journalistic practices. My leadership journey includes serving as President of the Israel Communication Association and as Founding Editor of Media Frames: Israeli Journal of Communication.
Across both paths, my mission is the same: to use media, whether immersive technologies or academic research, to foster empathy, connection, and meaningful social change.
