Researchers
Prof. Joel Roskin
Head
My main research projects are on aeolian-fluvial interactions, ancient agriculture in sand and arid zone water-harvesting, Mediterranean soils, sediments, and dry agriculture terraces, sandy shoreline response to Holocene sea level change, and sediment paleoenvironmental archives in small, closed basins in the southern Levant. I study tropical- and cold-region dunes in Portugal, Southern India and central Europe. I’m also developing the discipline of military geosciences with emphasis on the Middle East and underground warfare.
