Establishment of artificial vascular constructs to support in-vitro kidney organoids grow and maturation. One of the major challenges in the field of organoids, particularly kidney organoids, is the lack of vascularization, which restricts their size and limits their maturation. In collaboration with Prof. Shpaisman (Department of Chemistry, Bar-Ilan University), we are developing artificial vascular constructs (AVCs) designed to be integrated into organoids, allowing for controlled medium flow through the hollow channels of the AVCs and nutrient exchange through their nanopore.
