Polymer Membranes

The transport of gases and small molecules through polymer membranes

Polymer membranes are widely used for separating gaseous and liquid mixtures in applications such as water treatment and medical applications. Gas separation is particularly interesting as it has crucial environmental applications such as natural gas processing, air separation, and CO2 capture. We use theory and molecular simulations to study the microstructure of polymer networks, intending to guide the design of polymer membranes with refined properties.
