My research in prophetic literature offers new interpretations of prophecies from the First and Second Temple periods, with a broader focus on religion, law, and identity. Topics include the figure of Shebna, the book of Joel as a reflection of early returnees’ disappointment, and Daniel 3–5 as an example of Hellenistic historiography.
