Prof. Noa Vilchinsky

 Professor Noa Vilchinsky is the head of the Psycho-cardiology Research Lab in the Department of Psychology at Bar Ilan University, Ramat Gan, Israel, as of 2004.  She is also a certified rehabilitation psychologist who worked for many years with individuals coping with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and cardiac illnesses. Her main fields of research are psycho-cardiology, dyadic coping with chronic illness, Caregiving in health challenges, attitudes toward people with disabilities, and the importance of being treated with dignity in the medical setting.

In 2016 Prof. Vilchinsky's co-authored the book: "Caregiving in the illness context".

In 2018, Prof. Vilchinsky and her colleagues from 5 European countries have received the prestigious HORIZON 20/20 funding for creating an Innovative Training Network for 15 doctoral students who will focus on developing innovative solutions for caregivers worldwide ((ENTWINE-Informal care-ITN-ERC Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant- ENTWINE). 

Prof. Vilchinsky is also the secretary of the European Health Psychology Society (EHPS), and has recently received the distinguished EHPS fellow award.

Prof. Vilchinsky have recently been nominated by the university rector to assume the esteemed position of the academic head (Dean) of the division of designated education programs at Bar Ilan University.

With a background in social science research and clinical rehabilitation psychology, I strive to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, aiming to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.”
