I’m a PhD student in the lab, under the supervision of Prof. Noa Vilchinsky. I’m also a clinical psychologist and the creator of The Apparently Parent Podcast where I talk about parenting.
My dissertation title is: “Dyadic coping and rehabilitation outcomes among cardiac patients: The moderating role of attachment orientations”.
I study how romantic couples support each other while coping with cardiac illness. My research was conducted in collaboration with the cardiac rehabilitation and prevention program at Sheba Medical Center. I am interested in understanding the interpersonal dynamics that influence both patients’ and partners’ mental health, as well as the patients’ physical and behavioral outcomes.
My vantage point into these questions combine the wisdom of the attachment theory as a robust and practical theory of interpersonal relationships, and the wisdom of acceptance and commitment therapy for understanding the motivations of these couples.
