Prof. Orit Rotem-Mindali is an urban geographer specializing in transportation and environmental policy. She served as Head of the Department of Geography and Environment at Bar-Ilan University. Orit is Co-Head of the MA Program in Regulation and Environmental Policy, together with Prof. Oren Perez from the Faculty of Law. Her research focuses on understanding individual behavior within urban, regional, economic, and social contexts, with an emphasis on the reciprocal relationship between human activities and environmental impacts.

Orit’s research contributions are organized into two main fields:

Mobility and Accessibility – Examining the relationships between transportation, spatial behavior, and technology, with a focus on individual decision-making and accessibility.

Urban and Environmental Research – Investigating urban dynamics, land use, environmental impacts, and policy, highlighting the mutual influence between the city and its inhabitants.
