Dr. Nethanel Lipshitz

Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy and the MA Program in Bioethics at Bar-Ilan University.

After completing his PhD in Philosophy at the University of Chicago, Dr. Lipshitz held research fellowships at the University of Chicago Law School, the Safra Center for Ethics at Tel Aviv University, the Department of Philosophy at Bar-Ilan University, and the Berman Institute of Bioethics at Johns Hopkins University.

Prior to joining Bar-Ilan University, Dr. Lipshitz served as a lecturer at Penn State College of Medicine, where he was a member of the Ethics Committee and the Ethics Consultation Service at Hershey Medical Center.

Dr. Lipshitz’s research focuses on questions of justice, moral status, equality, and respect as they arise in ethics (including bioethics), political philosophy, and the philosophy of education.
