Information and Communication in Times of Crisis and Emergency

This research area studies how government agencies, local authorities and public bodies communicate with the public on social media during crises, war and emergencies, and how citizens search for, consume and share information under uncertainty. It examines trust, civic engagement, emotions and public-discourse dynamics around events such as military operations, the COVID-19 pandemic and the October 7th attack.
