Children develop social groups concepts and attitudes that shape the way they relate to people from different groups. These processes arguably differ between children from majority and high-status groups, and children from minority and lower-status groups. My research has been focusing on these differences: describing them and attempting to understand the causes for the differences.

My research examines the role of wise reasoning in third-party intervention in conflict. I focus on how wise reasoning relates to the willingness to intervene, the choice of a conciliatory style, and the outcome appraisals of the intervention.
Nave Magdi
My research explores the emotional and behavioral responses of third parties in conflict situations. Specifically, I examine whether fulfilling the psychological needs of the victim influences third-party anger toward the offender and their willingness to maintain a relationship or further interaction with them.

My research investigates the effects and mechanisms underlying the relationship between self-distancing strategies and emotional regulation. Specifically, the extant literature demonstrates that recalling negative autobiographical events from a third-person perspective yields more adaptive emotional outcomes compared to first-person recall. However, the fundamental question that drives my investigation is: what are the underlying mechanisms? To address this, I am employing a statistical mediation framework to examine the psychological processes
