In the area of growth and convergence, I have studied economic growth and income convergence in the US using county-level data. We documented the heterogeneity in the convergence and assessed the relevance of Sigma-convergence vs Beta-convergence, and assessed the role of the federal, state, and local governments in the US county-level economic growth and convergence.
