Ayelet Oreg, PhD
My work centers on the social, cultural, and emotional dimensions of organ and human fluid donation, exploring how these acts intersect with experiences of crisis, loss, healing, and memory. I approach these themes through embodied, artistic, communal, and ritual practices, integrating perspectives from social work, anthropology, art, and archaeology. I also study personal and collective remembrance, bio-art, and commemorative rituals. In collaboration with archaeologist Dr. Amit Dagan, we research and develop community-based therapeutic approaches to archaeological excavation and restoration.
