Enabling responsible technology-enabled innovation and protecting patient welfare
The rapid integration of AI-based systems in healthcare affects health outcomes, autonomous decision-making, patients’ privacy, and the distribution of services. The research conducted and supported by the lab examines how this rapid integration reshapes professional duties, patient rights, and regulatory design, bringing together doctrinal, empirical, and technical work to produce policy guidance that protects safety and equity while enabling responsible innovation.
We also promote multidisciplinary Hebrew-language research on AI regulation in healthcare and, in partnership with the Faculty’s flagship journal Law Studies (מחקרי משפט), convene a dedicated symposium and special issue to promote local research in the area.
