As we all know, the greek used to believe that everything have a god. Posidon is the god of the sea, Hades is in charge of the after life, Apolo is the god of the sun, archers and a few music instroments ect.

A great book about it for kids is Percy Jackson- a young boy that discoverd that his dad id a greek god, and therefor all of the mythology creatures want to kill him.

I love this series and reccommend it to everyone at any age.
