Signal processing in resource limited sensor networks

Professor Amir Leshem’s research on signal processing in resource-limited sensor networks focuses on developing efficient algorithms for data acquisition, communication, and inference under strict constraints of power, bandwidth, and computation. His work addresses how distributed sensors can collaboratively process and transmit information while minimizing energy use and maximizing reliability. Using tools from compressed sensing, distributed optimization, and graph signal processing, he enables smart sensing solutions for applications such as environmental monitoring, security, and industrial IoT, where low-cost and low-power operation are critical.
