Expanding sonic creativity through analysis, synthesis, and interactive sound design
Core Mission
The lab advances research and creative practice at the intersection of music, art, and technology by developing, applying, and disseminating advanced computational methods for sound analysis, synthesis, and interactive transformation. Building on analytical frameworks and tools such as Praat AudioTools, the lab integrates scientific audio analysis with creative sound processing to support both artistic production and research-driven innovation.
The lab’s objectives are to:
• Develop novel computational methodologies for sound design, analysis-based composition, and interactive audio systems.
• Produce original artistic works informed by data-driven audio analysis, signal processing, and machine listening.
• Advance interdisciplinary research in sonic arts by bridging creative practice with engineering, computer science, and acoustics.
• Generate open tools, documentation, and educational resources that support knowledge transfer, training, and capacity building in experimental sound technologies.
