Ph.D Students
Vika Tarle
Vika Tarle received her B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Tel Aviv University in 2010, and her M.Sc. in Biophysics from the Weizmann Institute of Science in 2015. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioengineering at Bar-Ilan University, focusing on non-invasive neurovascular sensing using speckle-based optical techniques. Her research includes interferometric SCOS development and multimodal EEG–SCOS integration for intraoperative cerebral blood flow monitoring. She has industry experience in electro-optics and systems engineering, and has contributed to multiple publications in biophysics, optics, and biomedical research.
Moshe Berchansky
moshe.berchansky@biu.ac.il
Moshe holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Bar Ilan University, with a focus on machine learning, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioengineering and AI. With 8 years of industry experience as a software engineer — 6 of them specializing in AI — Moshe is currently an AI Research Engineer at Intel, where he focuses on innovation and publications in machine learning and natural language processing. His research spans AI-based classification of THC impairment using fNIRS brain signals, target speech separation from EEG signals, and decoding text from multimodal brain signals in reading comprehension tasks using large language models (LLMs).
