Dr. Nufar Sukenik | Autism and Language
Faculty of Education, Bar Ilan University
I am a researcher and lecturer in the fields of autism and special education. My research examines language development in autistic children and adolescents, with a particular focus on semantic, syntactic, morphological, and pragmatic abilities.
A central aim of my work is to understand the relationships between language, cognitive abilities, and academic development. My studies address areas including emergent literacy, reading, mathematics, and narrative abilities, while also considering the diverse developmental profiles of autistic individuals.
Alongside my research, I teach and supervise graduate students in autism studies and special education. I am particularly interested in connecting research findings with educational practice and contributing to evidence-based support for autistic children, their families, and professionals.
