Building on my work on modern Tibetan literature, I also examine contemporary Tibetan identity in exile, particularly in India. This field addresses questions of exile, second and third generations, cultural memory, religion, and belonging, focusing on the relationship between literary production, political experience, and identity formation beyond China’s borders.
