Fields of interests

I study how people cultivate self-identities through participation in specific social spheres. Using ethnographic methods, I examine these spaces as sites where participants meet, interact, and influence one another both physically and emotionally. My research explores diverse practices and communities, including contemporary meditation, life-coaching, spiritual care, popular psychology in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community, and professional identity formation in the workplace.
