Leor Jacobi

Medieval Jewish Art, Manuscripts, and Material Culture

I am interested in how Jewish knowledge is transmitted, recontextualized, and authorized. My research focuses on medieval Jewish art and visual culture, Hebrew and Latin manuscripts, illustrated books, and material practices, with particular attention to halakhic texts, philology, and the reuse and transmission of manuscripts across Jewish and Christian contexts.
