My research examines the consequences of crime and victimization for the families of victims and offenders, focusing on indirect victimization, stigma, family identity, and coping processes. Particular attention is given to parenting and motherhood in the contexts of crime, incarceration, and interpersonal violence, as well as the influence of social and institutional systems on family members.
