Investigating the impact of the environment on human health

We focus on the links between the triple planetary crisis - which includes biodiversity loss, climate change, and pollution - and human health. Our goal is to investigate both the beneficial effects of living near nature and the harmful environmental influences, including climate change and pollution. We focus on “critical windows of development,” such as pregnancy and early childhood, when environmental factors can have lifelong impacts. We also develop and apply novel approaches to disentangle complex environmental exposures and to understand the pathways that lead to disease or protect against it.
