Welcome to the Bar-Ilan Center for Research in Cryptography and Cyber Security

About Us

The Bar-Ilan Center for Research in Applied Cryptography and Cyber Security was established as part of a national initiative supported in part by the Israel National Cyber Directorate in the Prime Minister’s Office.

The Center’s primary mission is to advance world-class academic research in applied cryptography and cyber security, and to train graduate students to become the next generation of leaders in these fields. In addition, the Center fosters close collaboration with industry and government on cutting-edge research challenges.

The Center includes faculty and students from the Departments of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Computer Engineering. Its main research areas include:
(a) Applied and theoretical cryptography

(b) Multiparty secure computation

(c) Interactive proofs and zero-knowledge proofs

(d) Differential Privacy
